(i) Campaigns & Alerts

Hijab Ban in France and other countries
This month has been dominated by the Hijab ban in France. IHRC has launched an on-going campaign to tackle this attack on Muslims. Please visit our Campaigns page regularly to see updates on the campaign.

Currently you can download or copy and paste model letters to the French President, French Interior Minister, the French Ambassador in your country, your Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the British Foreign Secretary (for UK Campaigners).

French versions of some of the letters are also available.

IHRC is also monitoring the situation in other countries and will be producing campaign material accordingly.

Europe-wide Hijab Project
IHRC's project monitoring the discrimination faced by Muslim women across Europe is continuing. The questionnaire is now available to download in Word format and can be filled in and emailed back to us on hijab@ihrc.org. The questionnaire is currently available in

Stop Israeli Terror Camps
Urge British Home Secretary David Blunkett to clarify his stance on citizens going overseas for offensive training. The 'Operation Shiloh' course provides training to US citizens in amongst other things hand-to-hand combat and firearms training, and involves personnel from the Israeli Defence Forces. Go to:
