Islamic Human Rights Commission presents \'The Annual Islamophobia Awards\'

Islamic Human Rights Commission presents \'The Annual Islamophobia Awards\', an unparalleled night of fun and entertainment! This fundraising banquet will be broadcasted internationally on 31 May 2003 by Prime TV. It will take a satirical look at the year\'s events and presents spoof awards to the biggest Islamophobes. It promises to be a fantastic evening of comedy and light entertainment centred around a lavish three course gourmet meal.

Entertainment will include comedy sketches, spoof awards and traditional naats, nasheeds and kawali. There will also be an auction during the evening which will give guests an opportunity to acquire an array of arts, ornaments, jewellery and goods, whilst also contributing to a worthy cause.

Nominations for the Annual Islamophobia Awards are still open for the following categories:

Most Islamophobic British Politician of the year

Most Islamophobic international politician

Most Islamophobic media personality

Most Islamophobic media (Radio or TV programmes or stations, newspapers or magazines)

Islamophobe of the year (nominee may be from any of the above categories or any new persons)

Up to two nominations can be made per category, please confirm your nominations with reasons and attach any material (e.g., video clips, newspaper articles etc.) you feel appropriately supports your choices. You can submit nominations by calling, faxing and emailing us before 9th May 2003. Please remember to put \'nominations\', in the subject line.

Date: Saturday 31 May 2003

Tickets: £35.00 with a discount for group bookings of 10 or more

Venue: Islamic Centre of England, 140 Maida Vale, London W9

Time: 5.15pm to 9.00pm
