As it's a half-term week for many students who are at school in the UK, we thought we should include two new books that have arrived at the bookshop that are aimed at children -

Poetry Speaks Who I Am is filled with more than 100 remarkable poems aimed for children that makes them think about who they are, and who they are becoming. The book includes a CD on which you’ll hear 44 poems, 39 of which are original recordings—you’ll only find them here.  Buy the book here.

100 Best Poems for Children is a unique treasure trove. From the hundreds of poems originally chosen by children themselves, Roger McGough has selected an irresistible top one hundred no child should be without.

Arranged alphabetically, this glorious collection offers a fantastic voyage of discovery. Here you will find Dr. Suess rubbing shoulders with Shakespeare, Roald Dahl sharing a page with Walter de la Mare and Christina Rossetti sitting next to Michael Rosen.  With a wealth of contemporary and classic verse, there is something for everyone. Buy the book here.
