In January 2015 IHRC Gallery will be launching its new exhibition featuring One of My Kind (OOMK). Based in North London, OOMK is a small-press publication released biannually. Behind the scenes are two graphic artists and a writer – Sofia Niazi, Rose Nordin and Heiba Lamara – but the zine welcomes contributions from women with a diverse range of backgrounds. Each issue published focuses on a particular theme relating to creativity and within that is more content relating to an array of issues such as faith, activism and identity.

‘Visions of the Future: Women, Publishing & Autonomy’ presents a chance for a different kind of exhibition. Featuring books, prints and zine-work, the gallery space will be transformed into OOMK’s reading room.

WHEN: Friday 30 January at 6.45pm

WHERE: IHRC Bookshop & Gallery, 202 Preston Road, Wembley, HA9 8PA (Nearest tube: Preston Road / Metropolitan Line
