Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC) is deeply concerned by the escalating situation in The Philipines.

Chair of Islamic Human Rights Commission, Massoud Shadjareh said:

“In an effort to provide more context to the situation we are forwarding a press statement released by Moro Islamic Front on 24 October.  Since 9-11 the issue of Mindanao and the Bangsamoro has been subsumed in an Islamophobic narrative.  This demonisation must end and the voices of calm and sanity from all sides must be given prevalence.”

The press statement in PDF format can be downloaded here or at the end of the page.
