FINAL_VERSION_PREVENT_Conference_webThe “Preventing Violent Extremism?” conference was held on Saturday 13th June 2015 at the Amanah Centre in the heart of East London. A number of critics came together for joined resistance by organising workshops on the education sector, community responses, and ‘Know your rights’ to present the government’s counterproductive methods.

Leroy Logan: An ex-superintendent who served 30 years with the Metropolitan Police and is a founding member of the Metropolitan Black Police Association (Met BPA).

Arun Kundnani: Author of “The Muslims are coming!” who specialises in writing about race, Islamophobia, political violence and surveillance.

Marie Breen-Smyth: A professor from the University of Surrey.

Robert Ferguson: National Union of Teachers (NUT).
