Action Alert: UK / Palestine / Israel – Protest against G4S complicity in the torture of Palestinian children

IHRC are urging campaigners and activists to protest against G4S for their provision of expertise and security systems to Israeli prisons, and their complicity in the detention and torture of Palestinian children. Most recently, 30 year old Arafat Jaradat, died in an Israeli prison following severe torture by Israeli security in the G4S provisioned Megiddo Prison.

In-Stock: The Prisoners’ Diaries: Palestinian Voices from the Israeli Gulag

This book is a compilation of first hand experiences of 22 Palestinian prisoners released from prison by Israel as part of the prisoner exchange for the release of Gilad Shalit. The prisoners were interviewed by journalists and their accounts, their diaries, were compiled into a book by Norma Hashim.

These autobiographical texts offer a rare opportunity to comprehend the inhumane indignities endured by tens of thousands of Palestinians prisoners throughout the decades of this long painful conflict.

IHRC were privileged to welcome Houria Bouteldja from the Parti des Indigènes de la République (PiR). in France to speak about her work as a decolonial activist and thinker.  Her topic, ‘Decolonising France’ presented the history of PiR, as France’s first decolonial political party and the challenges they have faced in standing up to Eurocentricism, Islamophobia, anti-Black racism and Zionism.
