Dr Erik Fosse – Norwegian cardiologist who works for NORWAC and needs no introduction.
Massoud Shadjareh – Massoud Shadjareh is a veteran human rights campaigner, who began his activism on campus at UCAL Berkley during the anti-Vietnam protest movement in the late 1960s. In 1997 he helped to set up the Islamic Human Rights Commission with a group of other human rights activists working on different international and national projects. IHRC is a campaign, research and advocacy organization based in London, UK. Shadjareh currently chairs IHRC.
Robin Yassin Kassab – has been a journalist in Pakistan and an English teacher around the Arab world. His first novel, The Road from Damascus, is published by Hamish Hamilton and Penguin. He blogs on politics, culture, religion and books at www.qunfuz.blogspot.com.
Arzu Merali – founders of the Islamic Human Rights Commission , and also editor in chief of Palestine Internationalist. She has written extensively on the media coverage of Muslims in Britain. She is a former journalist, and still writes on occasion.
Nafeez Mossadeq Ahmed – London-born author and political scientist specialising in interdisciplinary security studies. He teaches International Relations at the School of Social Sciences and Cultural Studies, University of Sussex, Brighton, where he is currently engaged in Doctoral research on European imperial genocides from the 15th to the 19th centuries. He is the Executive Director of the Institute for Policy Research & Developmen
Yvonne Ridley – Journalist and human rights activist
is a British journalist and Respect Party politician best known for her capture by the Taliban and subsequent conversion to Islam 3 years after release. She was recently awarded more than £20,000 in compensation and £5,000 costs after winning a case for unfair dismissal and sexual discrimination against the Islam Channel.
George Galloway – Respect MP George Galloway\’s official site: a leading campaigner against the occupations of Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine, against capitalism and global injustice. He is leading the Viva Palestina convoy from the UK to Gaza. A trip which started on the 14th February and has now reached Morocco.
