In response to the decision of the Dutch court today, 23 June 2010, to acquit far-right politician Geert Wilders of inciting hatred against Muslims, Chair of IHRC, Massoud Shadjareh said:

‘This decision of the court legitimises Anti-Muslim hatred as the only acceptable form of hatred remaining in Europe and is a clear message that fascism continues to thrive in Europe, this time using Islam rather than Judaism to justify themselves. Therefore, ‘never again’ remains an empty phrase.’
