IHRC International Conference: Towards a New Liberation Theology – Reflections on Palestine
Date: 12 June 2005
Venue: Brunei Gallery, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), Russell Square, London, WC1
Time: 10.15 a.m. – 6.45 pm
Religion, particularly in the Palestinian context, has been portrayed as a hindrance to peace and not as a methodology for liberation. This conference aimed to discuss the role religion plays in the lives of peoples’ struggling for justice, looking at other liberation struggles as well as the Palestinian cause.
