FORWARDED Action Alert from Cageprisoners: Enforced Disappearance of Human Rights Activist Khalid Khawaja
30 January 2007
Pakistani citizen and well known human rights activist Khalid Khawaja was forcibly made to disappear on 26th January 2007 in Islamabad. Mr Khawaja left for the pre-dawn prayer (Fajr) when his mother noticed a white car pulling away from the house; the Imam of his local mosque confirmed that he never made it for prayers that morning.
