PRESS RELEASE
PROTEST RALLY
Condemn Assassination of Sheikh Yassin [ra]

Friends of Al-Aqsa have called a rally to pay respect to Sheikh Ahmad Yassin. We stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and condemn the barbaric assassination of Shaykh Yassin by Israeli occupying forces.

‘Shaykh Yassin was not only the spiritual leader of Palestinians but he was revered by millions around the world. Shaykh Yassin spent his life fighting occupation and at the same time assisting the Palestinians in social, educational and moral spheres’, said Ismail Patel, Chair of Friends of Al-Aqsa. This rally is a small gesture to show our respect to the great man.

Friends of Al-Aqsa is expecting this to be the biggest national gathering in protest of the assassination, with thousands of people attending.
