In response to the Scottish Defence League, “Kilmarnock and Loudoun United” – a community alliance of trade unions, faith groups, local companies and political parties working together to defeat the fascist ideology – are holding a  March and Rally:

KILMARNOCK AND LOUDOUN UNITED

MARCH AND RALLY
Saturday 19 June 2010
Assemble 11.15 am for 11.45 am sharp

Howard Park, (McLelland Drive entrance) – (map)
marching through Kilmarnock and returning to
Howard Park for a Rally at approx 1.15pm

The march organisers want to put 1000 people on the streets of Kilmarnock to let the Scottish Defence League know that they are not welcome in our community. Please come along, bring banners and as many people with you as possible, at the opening of Kilmarnock’s Mosque and Muslim Education Centre.
The Rally in the park will include speakers from Unite against Fascism, Hope not Hate and Show Racism the Red Card. There will also be music from local bands.

Please support this event and help send a clear message to those who would promote hatred and inequality. It is vital that we show the racist and sectarian Scottish Defence League that there are large numbers of decent people who are disgusted by their objectionable views.
