Summary

The apartheid state of Israel continues to commit genocide, we therefore ask you write to your MP demanding they pressure their party and the government to change their stance on Gaza.

Background

In Gaza, many thousands of people have been massacred, including at thousands of children, whilst a further tens of thousands have been wounded. At the same time hundreds of Palestinians have been murdered, and hundreds kidnapped in the Occupied West Bank as well.

We are witnessing war crimes, crimes against humanity and the ethnic cleansing of the indigenous Palestinian people of Gaza. The United Nations has stated that there is no safe place in Gaza, whilst the apartheid state of Israel has made clear that it is attempting to inflict maximum damage on Gaza, as a whole.

This is a crime committed not only by apartheid Israel, but by Western governments that have given them the green light to commit such heinous crimes that breach international law. We need to demand that our governments and all political parties take action to stop this massacre taking place.

Dear [INSERT NAME],

Re: The indiscriminate massacre in Gaza

I, along with countless others who respect humanity, have been utterly appalled by the Israeli government’s attack on Palestinian civilians in Gaza in violation of international humanitarian law. I am also shocked by the actions of my government who have done nothing stop it. The death toll in Gaza has shocked the World, whilst thousands of children are amongst those killed. The IDF has declared that “The emphasis is on damage, not on precision” in a bombardment on an area smaller than London, where the United Nations says there is “No safe place to go”.

The indiscriminate bombing of Hospitals, churches, mosques and schools in Israeli air raids has sparked international condemnation. The government should see these acts as a red line. Israel is openly committing genocide against the Palestinians due to the lack of condemnation from Western governments who have chosen to rather support the apartheid regime under the misguided phrase that “Israel has the right to defend itself.” This government is therefore complicit in Israel’s war crimes and crimes against humanity.

I therefore call on you to put pressure on the government as well as your party to change their stance and uphold what is morally right to protect the lives of the Palestinians of Gaza by supporting a just resolution. We are potentially witnessing the greatest crime of our time and politicians will be remembered for their stance at this crucial time in our history. I sincerely hope that you will consider my legitimate concerns for the people of Gaza, and take the necessary action requested.

Yours sincerely,
