Summary
In response to a planned review by the EU, write to your MEP demanding that the European Union sanctions the Zionist state and ends the EU-Israel Association Agreement.
Background
On the 23rd June, a review will be taking place within the EU, to cancel the EU-Israel Association Agreement.
After coming into force in 2000, the EU-Israel Association Agreement gave the Zionist state preferential trading rights to trade within European Union. The EU is their largest trading partner, with their trade accounting for 32% of all trade with the Zionist state in 2024.
The European Council has undertaken the task of reviewing the agreement, which covers various areas, including trade, but also other economic sectors, social and cultural areas, research, development and so on. The review will begin Monday 23rd June. The review is based on Article 2 of the agreement which requires both the EU and Israel to respect ‘human rights and democratic principles.’
Action Required
Campaigners living in EU countries are requested to email their Member for the European Parliament (MEP) asking that they demand their heads of state, and foreign ministers taking part in the review, to agree to impose sanctions on the Zionist state and cancel the EU-Israel Association Agreement in all its facets. Find their contact details here.

Dear [Insert name],
Re: Cancel EU-Israel Association Agreement and sanction Israel
After over 20 months of genocide taking place in Gaza, I am surprised that the European Union has not taken a strong stance condemning the current genocide, or the apartheid that has been practiced for decades. This is especially worrying considering the EU-Israel Association Agreement, which gives Israel certain privileges in trade with the EU, despite article 2 of the agreement stating thus:
“Relations between the Parties, as well as all the provisions of the Agreement itself, shall be based on respect for human rights and democratic principles, which guides their internal and international policy and constitutes an essential element of this Agreement.”
In this light I ask that you demand your Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of State push to suspend the EU-Israel Association Agreement, with a view to its cancellation, and impose sanctions.
I look forward to hearing of the action you have taken
Yours sincerely,
