On the 6th of May 2004 a Palestinian doctor, Ashraf Ahmad Jum’a Al-Hujuj, and five Bulgarian nurses were sentenced to death by the Benghazi Criminal Court in Libya.

Following the release of 13 members of the Popular Congress Party this week, pressure must be maintained on the Sudanese government to release remaining the 66 PCP political prisoners and all unjustly held detainees.

Pressure must be put on the Turkish Government following a decision to sentence journalist Hakan Albayrak to fifteen months imprisonment for an article in which he “insulted the memory of Ataturk”.
