Campaign Update: Keep up the pressure against the French hijab ban

Background
IHRC has been intensively campaigning against the proposed hijab ban in various countries including France. Its current campaign regarding France is being regularly updated. Please help all those sisters oppressed by those who wish to deny them the right to dress Islamically by showing solidarity with them and those who help them.

Update
Although the French authorities are supposed to be announcing their decision on whether or not to ban hijab in schools on Friday December 17, IHRC campaigners have received responses from French authorities stating that at least one French embassy will be posting information about ‘the new law – once it is passed.’ Clearly the campaign must call on the French authorities to stop this discrimination and aggression against Muslim women, as well as calling on international figures to call France to account over their proposals to violate Muslim women’s rights.
