Death in custody families gather to demand justice
The Independent Police Complaints Commission is responsible for overseeing investigations into deaths in police custody. Many of the families of the victims are dissatisfied with the current performance of the IPCC. A delegation of families will be attending the IPCC on Monday 19th June between 2.00 – 3.00pm to raise their concerns.
A picket of the IPCC has been called 1.30 to show solidarity with these families. The picket has been called by the United Families & Friends Campaign, the national coalition of death in custody family campaigns. All supporters are welcome.
