Summary
In June last year, we called upon EU citizens to write to their MEP’s demanding that they move to cancel the EU-Israel Association Agreement. In the face of the recent massacre in Lebanon and a call by the Spanish Prime Minister to suspend the trade agreement following Israel’s horrific attacks, we must crank up the pressure.
Background
The EU-Israel Association Agreement is a treaty that gives the Zionist state special access to European markets and grants them special trade rights within the EU. The Zionist entity’s trade with the EU accounts for 28.8% of total imports, amounting to €15.9 billion in 2024.
Yet within this agreement is a clause (Article 2 of the agreement) which states that both sides must keep in line with ‘human rights and democratic principles’ otherwise the other party should suspend the agreement. Our campaign to activate this clause has now taken on new momentum after the gruesome assault on Lebanon that took place on 8/4/26, in complete defiance of a ceasefire agreed the previous night. The bombings saw over 250 people killed with over 1,000 more wounded in just 10 minutes. Even the prime minister of Spain; Pedro Sanchez has now called for this clause to be activated in response to the heinous attacks.
Action Required
Campaigners living in EU countries are requested to email their Member for the European Parliament (MEP) asking that they demand their heads of state, and foreign ministers to agree to impose sanctions on the Zionist state and cancel the EU-Israel Association Agreement in all its facets. Find their contact details here.

Re: Cancel EU-Israel Association Agreement and sanction Israel
Immediately after the agreement to a ceasefire in the war involving the US, Iran, Israel and Lebanon, Israel responded by firing scores of missiles in ten minutes, killing over 250 people and injuring a further 1,000. This massacre, committed in grave violation of international law and universal morals should be the final nail in a coffin that should have been slammed shut a long time ago, that of the special relationship between the European Union and the rogue state of Israel. This relationship is especially worrying considering the EU-Israel Association Agreement, which gives Israel certain privileges in trade with the EU, despite article 2 of the agreement stating:
“Relations between the Parties, as well as all the provisions of the Agreement itself, shall be based on respect for human rights and democratic principles, which guides their internal and international policy and constitutes an essential element of this Agreement.”
In view of this, I ask that you demand that your Minister of Foreign Affairs and Head of State push to suspend the EU-Israel Association Agreement, with a view to its cancellation, and impose sanctions upon Israel. This situation has gone far enough and must be brought to an end now.
I look forward to hearing of the action you have taken.
Yours sincerely,
