UK EVENT: A discussion with Professor Hamid Algar, Monday 3rd June 2002
It is IHRC’s great honour to have Professor Hamid Algar address one of our meetings. Professor Hamid Algar is based at the department of Near Eastern Studies at the University of California, Berkley. He is also a renowned Islamic scholar and has published many books and articles in various languages. His specialised interests include Turkey, the Balkans, Iran and Afghanistan. He has travelled extensively in the Muslim world.
Professor Algar is also an advisor to IHRC. Given his vast range of experience and knowledge, we have left the programme as an open discussion. We apologise for the very short notice given for this event and hope that many of you will utilise this opportunity of listening to and benefiting from the knowledge and experience of one of the finest contemporary scholars.
