Please complain to BBC news online about the following articles:
‘Iraq curfew lifted for Ramadan’ 26 October 2003
‘Rabbis back Israeli \’guard pigs\’ 28 October 2003
‘Iraq curfew lifted for Ramadan’ suggests that:
“While Sunnis mark the start of the holy month by the crescent moon, the Shia calculate it according to astronomical configurations.”
This is incorrect and the BBC should print a correction and apologise. Likewise the second article suggest that in Islam pigs are considered dangerous. This is a bizarre and incorrect assertion and the BBC should remove it immediately and apologise.
