Israel tries to ethnically cleanse Palestine: Activist

Press TV has conducted an interview with Massoud Shadjareh, chair of the Islamic Human Rights Commission from London, about Israel continuing its airstrikes on the Gaza Strip for the seventh straight day, killing a total of at least 173 Palestinians in the besieged enclave so far.

What follows is an approximate transcription of the interview.

Press TV: How do you see of course from a human rights perspective this issue of the Israeli aggression on Gaza and the fairly silent treatment that has been getting from the world community?

Shadjareh: Yet again it is outrageous. It is outrageous that the largest military machinery financed by the United States and the West is being unleashed against people of Gaza who really have got not much ability to resist it.

In a while we are hearing that Israelis are hiding in their bunkers. It is nowhere to hide for ordinary innocent Palestinians who are being facing this unleash of bombardments and you know this is outrageous that international community and the media in particular is trying to equate this aggression with the defense of innocence who are trying to put the lodges back together. This is really sort of unbelievable sort of aggression against ordinary innocent people in many ways, find it very impossible to resist sort of military unleashed against them.
