Press Release: IHRC Statement in Response to British Airway’s Decision to Ban an Employee from Wearing the Cross Openly
In response to the news that British Airways has banned one of its employees, Nadia Eweida, from wearing a cross openly at work, IHRC Chair Massoud Shadjareh states:
“We are very shocked that not only British Airways has failed to value the religiosity of its employee but has done everything within its power to ban its expression. IHRC is quite concerned by the anti religious trend of today’s society and calls on all civil society organizations to stand up for the right of all.”
