Publication Internship

IHRC has published numerous intellectual works on history, the study of hate crimes, Human Rights violations and islamophobia across the UK, US and Europe. Now, we are expanding our published works and are looking to give 3 new interns the opportunity to work alongside seasoned professionals in a new, upcoming book. In this role, you can expect to gain a plethora of publishing and research experience. This opportunity is perfect for someone with a passion for Human Rights, literature and law. The successful candidates will be given full credit in the published book. The interns will be required to travel to archives in order to scan journals, pieces of writing, other archived material and other works.

Key Information

  • Hours: 2 days a week
  • Duration: 3 months
  • Interview date: To be confirmed
  • Starting date: November / December 2023
  • Location: Hybrid (London)
  • Salary: Unpaid Position

Applicants should provide at least two references, a CV and a covering letter briefly outlining why they would be suited to the role. When applying you will also be

Key responsibilities:

  • Scan and photocopy works from the author’s journals
  • Update the line manager on your progress
  • Comply and deliver within set deadlines
  • Always adhere to the organisation’s processes and policies

Requirements:

  • Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail
  • Administrative skills such as photocopying and sorting through material
  • Microsoft Office literate
  • Be able to work with confidential materials
