The UN special rapporteur for Palestine, Francesca Albanese, will be discussing her work in a special webinar this Wednesday that is open to members of the public.

Albanese has been strongly critical of Israel’s brutal treatment of Palestinians living under its illegal occupation.

Her book “Palestinian Refugees in International Law”, coauthored with Lex Takkenberg, is considered a milestone in refugee academic literature. She regularly teaches and lectures on international
law and forced displacement at universities in Europe and the Arab world.

Albanese will be joined on the panel by two heavyweights in the field.

Professor Ilan Pappe is the author of 20 books on the subject, among them The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine and On Palestine, co-authored with Noam Chomsky. Since 2007, Pappe has been the director of the European Center for Palestine Studies at the university of Exeter.

Professor Nur Masalha is the author and editor of numerous books in English and Arabic on the history of Palestine and the Palestinians. He is currently a Member of the Centre for
Palestine Studies, SOAS, University of London. He is also the Editor of “Journal of Holy Land and Palestine Studies,” published by Edinburgh University Press.

The Zoom Webinar is being sponsored by many pro-Palestine campaigners including IHRC, Jews For Boycotting Israeli Goods, Jewish Voice for Labour, the Convivencia alliance and Jewish Network for Palestine.
