UK Event: National Demonstration Calling for Immediate and Unconditional Ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza
IHRC calls for and supports the national demonstration this coming Saturday (5th August) calling for an unconditional and immediate Israeli ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza, as well as an end to US and British support for Israel’s terror.
This demonstration is being called as the conflict that has exploded in the region reaches the conclusion of its third week, and the horror of Israel’s disproportionate response to the capture of its two soldiers becomes apparent.
The figure for Lebanese dead has now reached near 900, with the Independent reporting today that, horrifically, nearly half this number are children. Approximately a third of the injured 3,225 civilians are also children.
The demonstration is being called by the Stop the War Coalition, CND, Palestine Solidarity Campaign, British Muslim Initiative and various Lebanese community organizations, as well as IHRC.
IHRC urges all its supporters to attend the demonstration which will begin at:
Hyde Park,
Speaker’s corner,
