What’s New at www.ihrc.org.uk?
In this ‘What’s New’ an alert requesting your nominations for the 2008 Islamophobia awards. You will also find campaign update alerts regarding prisoners of faith. The articles section encompasses a series of articles on the human rights situation in Occupied Palestine, Guantanamo Bay, Sudan, US, Tunisia, Turkey, and Niger. There are further articles concerning the UK-Israeli dispute on the export of Israeli produce made in ‘territories’ beyond Israel’s 1967 borders. Another highlight of this month’s ‘What’s New’ is Ralph Nader’s thought provoking open letter to President-Elect Obama on reviving the Israel-Palestine issue. Lastly, “Teachers told to spy on five year old Muslim pupil” is the title of an article on the government’s ghastly move in its new controversial de-radicalisation guidelines.
