JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli officials say the country will not halt construction in West Bank settlements even after the U.S. president’s explicit call to do so.

Clashes erupted on Saturday between settlers and left-wing activists who were trying to help Palestinians with agricultural work near the village of Safa in the West Bank.

A convoy bringing medical aid to Gaza is stranded at the border with Egypt, after most of the activists and volunteers with it were denied entry.
