Once was…
Presently looking back to faint past, the ropes i used to hold.
The tag of war is furthering now, just my skin keeps me close.
Differences here, are enhanced and similarities are few between.
The reality of myself is disguised. Do i now fit in?
Born in a space, a distant thought, but brought up in the next.
Language barriers, culture matters , keeping values becomes a test.
Leaving loved ones behind, leaving everything one had known.
The choice to exist like the rest, was as swiftly as the wind had blown.
Those trees, that pond, the well and the leaves that formed ones thrown,
Is still held in this heart today, as that will always be my home
