Ramadan Mubarak!

Ramadan Mubarak!
We have been campaigning throughout the year on issues affecting Muslims, the oppressed and struggles for justice: from boycotting Israeli blood diamonds and Israeli dates, to bringing cases against nude body scanners to campaigning for the end of repression in Bahrain, and many other issues.

Our annual newsletter is out!   Make sure you grab yourself a copy and read about all the work IHRC have been doing this year, from joining protesters in Tahrir Square to campaigning to release prisoners from Saudi prisoners.  You can download a copy from here, or contact the office on the numbers and emails below to get a hard copy sent to you.  Please also consider ordering extra copies for you to distribute to friends and family.  From a couple to a couple of thousand, please let us know how many we should send.  These newsletters are free of charge.

IHRC has started an unprecedented and massive Bahrain advertisement campaign on London Buses during the Olympic period.  Buses across London are carrying IHRC adverts that are helping raise awareness on the struggle of the people of Bahrain to gain their freedom.

On the last Friday of Ramadan, August 17,  IHRC will be holding the annual Al Quds day demonstration that will start at 12:00pm assembling at Portland Place and will march to Grosvenor Square.  This is an opportunity for you all to join the struggle for justice demonstrating and rallying in support of Palestine.

When you open your fast this year, make sure it is not with an Israeli date that is grown on stolen Palestinian land. Buying these dates is aiding in the oppression of the Palestinians, let’s not ruin our fast by ending it with an Israeli date.

IHRC has been at the forefront of campaigning on many issues.  The plight of the Rohingyas was highlighted by IHRC many years ago and IHRC are continuing to support and raise awareness on the issue.  Please see this page for a short history of our work, as well as details of our recent actions.

We can only operate with your support and contributions, so please remember IHRC this Ramadan and donate to help us to continue campaigning and seeking justice for the oppressed.

“And what reason have you that you should not fight in the way of Allah and of the weak among the men and the women and the children, (of) those who say: Our Lord! Cause us to go forth from this town, whose people are oppressors, and give us from Thee a guardian and give us from Thee a helper.”
