Child-centred remembrance of Allah SWT
Insha’Allah Aisha Mohammed will perform a children’s spoken word poem about the love and mercy of Allah SWT. The poem features an endearing story of a boy who sees his mother look towards the sky when she supplicates, and so tries to help her find Him there.
Insha’Allah Elizabeth Lymer will lead children in singing songs fromRamadan Rhymes, and will teach Muslim action rhymes from her other books – including Islamic Nursery Rhymes, a book which will be launched the week after this event insha’Allah.
Towards Qur’anic Recitation
This rhymes event provides young Muslim children with a fun opportunity to participate in listening to rhymes and singing songs about Allah SWT and Islam. These activities utilise pre-recitation skills, like recognition of rhyme, repetition, and rhythm to aid memorisation. So the rhymes provide enjoyable and engaging ways to learn Islam and are excellent foundational tools for reciting the Qur’an insha’Allah.
Rhyming Sunnah of the Prophet Stories
Insha’Allah the event will also feature performance poems which introduce children to the characteristics of the Prophet Muhammad (may peace and blessings be upon him).
The event is particularly designed for accompanied children between three and seven years. Younger and older siblings are also welcome and will be accommodated inclusively insha’Allah – especially if you book in advance, confirming the ages of your children.
