Update Alert: Libya – Good news about the refugees in Misratah

Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC) has received reports that 39 of the refugees in Misratah will be taken to Romania to be temporarily resettled before a permanent resident country is found for them. Further, Holland has also accepted to take another group of refugees for resettlement.

The refugees have extended their thanks and appreciation to IHRC and the campaigners who supported their cause.

We thank all those campaigners who have helped campaign for these refugees and we urge you to continue doing so for the welfare of those still detained in Misratah.

“And what reason have you that you should not fight in the way of Allah and of the weak among the men and the women and the children, (of) those who say: Our Lord! Cause us to go forth from this town, whose people are oppressors, and give us from Thee a guardian and give us from Thee a helper.”
