1. Message from IHRC

Salamun alaykum wa rahamtullah wa barakatuh,

The blessed month of Ramadan is fast approaching, and we pray that it will be a joyous month for all believers.

This year, as we do every year, IHRC is asking you to consider donating to the work we do. We campaign, research and advocate for the oppressed based on the Qur’anic injunctions to do so. More information about our work this year can be found in our newsletter (see details below) which can downloaded from our website or sent to you via email or hard-copy by post.

This year, you can donate to IHRC in 2 ways. You can send your donations to the Islamic Human Rights Commission Trust (registered charity number 1106120) that raises money for purely charitable work e.g. work to raise awareness about human rights or to provide relief to victims of human rights abuses and their families.

Or you can continue donating for all of the work of the Islamic Human Rights Commission as usual. We have reports, books, banners and Edi cards for sale as usual, or you could simply give us a donation. We can accept zakat, sadaqa and other donations. For more information please contact the office on 020 8904 4222 or email info@ihrc.org. We have a new set of Eid cards for sale this year (please see page 12 of our newsletter) featuring Islamic architectural art.

Whichever way your donation is invaluable to us. By the grace of Allah s.w.t. the work that IHRC undertakes continues to expand rapidly. Please help us in meeting the challenges this poses with your suggestions, your financial support and most importantly your du’a.

Your brother in Islam,

Massoud Shadjareh
On behalf of IHRC.

UK tax payers are able to utilise Gift Aid when donating to Islamic Human Rights Commission Trust, by ticking the relevant box(es) below. This means for every £1 you donate IHRCT will be able to reclaim a further 28p.

Please note the charity cannot fund any political work or lobbying for a change in existing law (please continue to donate to IHRC sending money to the ‘Islamic Human Rights Commission’ if you want to donate to all of IHRC’s work including its non-charitable work).
