IHRC Response

Camilla,

Re: your enquiry of 28 February 2026

It appears we have been asked the same question about the Shawcross review by yourself on several occasions.

William Shawcross’ ‘review’ of Prevent has been thoroughly debunked as a piece of Islamophobic propaganda. We refer you again to the many analyses that came to this conclusion including that of Amnesty International.

It is more fitting for MPs in this country and the fourth estate to challenge entrenched and institutionalised racism rather than regurgitating it, as it appears in your case, is your wont.

As you appear concerned about networks promoting ideologies, you should perhaps preface every critique of pro-Palestinian and anti-racist organisations and movements, like ours, with your own links to UK Lawyers for Israel.

We hope this clarifies matters.
