IHRC is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Claudia Manchanda in London, UK. Manchanda (known to some on social media as Panther Manchanda) touched the lives of many people she had not met through her thinking and activism. Her thinking made deep connections between health outcome disparity, social injustices and the need to tackle systemic oppression at local, national, regional and global levels.
Her recent words (find more on the YouTube channel Radical Herbalist) ‘Radical Herbalism During Genocide’ (find it below), exemplify this understanding. Her activism crossed various issues, including community cooking projects and campaigns against deaths in custody.
She will be missed.
