Sandew Hira is an independent scholar and director of IISR. Hira is visiting lecturer at the Anton de Kom University in Suriname.
Stephen Small is Associate Professor of African American Studies at the University of California, Berkeley; and Extraordinary Professor for the Study of Dutch Slavery and its Legacy at the University of Amsterdam.
