Devastating floods in Bangladesh have affected the lives of millions in Bangladesh, yet communities now have to face a new enemy, climate change, which is causing extreme food shortages across the country.

‘The Rising Fear of Hunger’ takes an in-depth look at how international development charity Practical Action (of which I am a Trustee) works with communities to help them adapt to living with climate change, while introducing innovative ways to increase their livelihoods and ultimately, food supplies.

Practical Action has more than 40 years of experience and strongly believes that the tools to reduce poverty can be simple or sophisticated but, to be successful, must be placed in the hands of local people.

Featuring project officers from Bangladesh, this event will show how simple solutions can have a positive impact on communities, their lives and their future.
